@1/5, Sun 24.12 10pm onwards On Sunday, 24th Dec, 10pm onwards, 1/5 will celebrate Christmas Eve in NYC Flava with DJ/Producer Cavo from Dum Dum Project (DDP).
DJ Cavo, founder and producer of DDP, the original lower east side hipsters of NYC, who bought in Bollywood influence into the western hip hop scene and produced various hit singles including Punjabi Five-O, which claimed 6 weeks #1 spot on UK chart, and Supafly Bindi, the latest single from their new album, Spiritual Bling.
On Xmas Eve, Cavo will play a freestyle mix of old skool hip hop and upbeat RnB. Early bird tickets $180 per person, including free flowing premium house spirits from 10pm till midnite.

1998-Present:
Founder and main songwriter/DJ/producer for Urban Asian dance group DUM DUM PROJECT. Recorded and released three albums with X2 and Xlantic in UK, various singles, and videos, the most recent being Spiritual Bling, on Sony Music Asia. Released worldwideAsian Beats/Bhangra hit PUNJABI FIVE-0 in 2003, #1 on UK charts for 6 weeks.
DJ Cavo based in NYC and London, with London residencies at SWARAJ, STONED ASIA, and SHAANTI (Birmingham) and having toured and DJ'ed all over the US and world - in Paris, Moscow, Berlin, Barcelona, Bombay, Vienna, Warsaw, Jakarta, and
Bombay - to name a few.
Compiled albums of Asian Chillout music for GROOOVY SOUNDS UN/LTD. in NYC "Blessed Beats", and X2 RECORDS in London "Yoga Chill" 2002.
Have had his own DDP tracks licensed to such compilations as Buddha Bar, Ministry of Sound's Karma Collection, Stoned Asia vols. 2,3, Maxim's de Paris, Sahara Lounge, etc.
Wrote and produced the musical score for major US film JUST A KISS (Green Street Films - Paramount) Directed by Fisher Stevens, starring Marisa Tomei, Taye Diggs, Kyrie Sedgwick.
'97-2000:
Was a founding member and lead singer/songwriter of NYC based band SUPERCUZ (RCA Records)
Founding partner of NYC based record label GROOOVY SOUNDS UNLIMITED. Released four albums and distributed Times Music (India) in the US.Dissolved the company in 2000.
'91-2000:
DJ in NYC for most major clubs and bars that provided interesting,
eclectic, cutting edge, and dance music. Places he had residencies of note are: Lucky Strike, Nell's, Centrofly, Supperclub, Wax, Sway, Danceteria,and Idlewilde. In L.A.: Jones, The Olive, and Roxbury.
'85-'92:
Founding member and singer/songwriter for THE TOASTERS and UNITY 2 (Warner Bros.
