Doshy started with digtial mediums in 1999, after a lot of influence from sc-fi books & films, and 80s and 90s electro music.. He became heavily inspired by creating art in a digital- future way, and serious in developing future electronic music. He´s focus on digital mediums is because his guiding principle is : "Try to make future-art, not retro-art, todays retro-art are in a way wrong because these art were a view into the future at their time. Take the influences and form it into new ideas ."

At this moment, Doshy is at the forerunner of the up and coming Berlin scene; dubstep and electronic producers inspired by the city's vibrant clubscene, yet bored with the static of it's oversaturated retro minimal obsession.

Hailing from friendly South Bavaria(Augsburg), where he produced some breakcore for PeaceOFF and wonky techno for Bombtrap, Doshy moved to Berlin, and became heavily inspired by the young new artists' digital, forward thinking productions.

Locked into his studio all winter 2008 with his trusty Korg MS10,and wired old arp-synth plugins. he created a lot of tunes and they are just the start of Doshy's ongoing musical evolution.

His music is the missing link between Mr. Oizo's "Flatbeat", Subhead, old Neil Landstrumm and current UK bassbinshifters like Zomby, Hyperdub, Starkey, Rustie and Kanji Kinetic. His tunes are funky, massive dancefloor stompers with massive futurebass and partysounds from outerspace.

Growing up listening to a whole palette of sounds ranging from soul, African, hip hop, jungle and techno, this multifaceted producer and DJ brings a wide sound and scope to the music he presents.

Coming up along with DJ Enso, the two began deejaying in the SF Bay Area in their formative years. It was around this time that the two began to dabble in production with friend/ fellow musician and label co founder, Roche starting Solos Records which has served as an outlet for all of their music with vinyl, CD and digital releases as well as monthly podcasts..

In 2006, Yao released his debut work Plantain is Public on Solos to rave reviews locally and globally. Rooted in hip hop and electronic music, the project experimented and contorted its beats and rhythms into a truly honest stew of sound drawing from spices around the globe. After its release, Yao relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina and befriended El G of ZZK Records. Here he became a member of the original Zizek crew, contributing a mix of stateside hip hop, dancehall and soul that the Argentineans were mixing along with their traditional cumbia to create their distinct South American style.

His original production, edits and unique remixes of the likes of Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Common, as well as New York based band Lemonade, have gained him fans and praise all over the map.

Also, having shared the stage and billings with the likes of Diplo, Ghislain Poirier, Plastiscian, Villa Diamante and many more this young man is always ready to rock to the party. Now based in Hong Kong, Yao who has traversed the world in search of the perfect beat is eager to spread the musical energy that emanates through his daily existence.

Tom Kelly a.k.a. DJ Shellsuit has been collecting records and DJing for over 13 years. Originally from Scotland, he now lives in Singapore, where he is a resident DJ and promoter for Pushin'On, the first night in Singapore dedicated to soul and funk music. He was also a core member of KoLab, a collaborative band who won the Singapore Heineken Thirst competition in 2006, before going on to compete in the regional semi-finals in KL. His sets can cover everything from soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, disco, boogie, latin, reggae and electronic, new and old.

DJing has taken him all over the world including countries as diverse as Scotland, Holland, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos and Bosnia. The list is sure to grow as he continues to build his reputation as a well-rounded DJ and party-rocker.
